The weather remains “pants” so a simple stroll up to the beautiful Llyn Elsi was all that we managed today. Llyn Elsi is situated above the village of Betws-y-Coed in the Gwydir Forest and serves as a reservoir providing water for the village. The walk begins behind the village church, with a steep-ish walk through the woodland before popping out at the lakeside. A quick circuit of the lake and back down the way we came up. Coffee and cream scones at the Royal Oak Hotel in Betws followed.
