Catching up with the domestics

In the morning we went for a run (4 miles) along the shore-front. It was sunny but very windy. I can tell it has been a few weeks since I last did a run!

It was also time to do a washing as our closet of clean underwear was diminishing – fast! They say people congregate in the kitchen to have a chat but on caravan/motorhome sites it seems to be the laundry room. I met a lovely lady and her husband (Sylvia and Bob) who were staying at the site in their caravan for the season. They were having their own adventure visiting places in Scotland.

Just after lunch as we travelled to visit my parents in Hamilton it started to rain, and rain it did by the bucket loads! Good for the garden so they say.

For dinner, we were treated to fish and chips at Equis (café in Hamilton). For those who do not know of this place it makes superb “Special” fish (fish coated in breadcrumbs). It is also locally infamous for its delicious ice cream which it began making in 1922. Better do another run tomorrow…………

Thanks Dad and Agnes for dinner and it was great to finally meet you David – please do keep in touch.
