My sister Gail has a great talent for writing poetry and has composed for us this poem below about our Munro climbing adventures. It would be a shame not to share it with you all. Thanks Gail.
Cameron and Elaine – Their “Munros Dream”
Two intrepid adventurers set off in their camper-van,
Taking a sabbatical to fulfill their dream; their plan.
To conquer each and every Munro they will strive,
No mean feat when each one over 3000 feet must rise.
So they’ve left their jobs for this great endeavour,
To gather tales and memories they will treasure forever.
Each peak be it a stroll or an arduous crag face,
Will test them completely, as towards their deadline they will race.
So they’ll slog and toil up each mountain high,
At every summit pause for breath and heave a sigh.
For one more off their list they can now stroke,
As to climb the 283 in a year is no joke.
As the landscape is beautifully clocked in her mantle of snow,
Sometimes they must yearn to see the spring flowers grow.
But as they stand united where eagles are free to soar,
They must delight in the feeling they could ask for no more.
Go with love and care.

Lovely poem. I especially liked the last quatrain, very appropriate, encapsulates what is seen in many of your summit photographs.
